This primitive wooden diorama has clay pottery, and I really don't know anything about what this is supposed to be. I found this at a local Humane Society thrift shop. It's about 10" tall by 13" wide, and just about 1 1/2" deep. I'd love to know more about this.
Wow! I love that it has real pottery! Nice find!
ReplyDeleteYes but wish I understood this more. Why all the pottery and such a small fireplace? And no idea what the white things are by the floor. But it is a sweet find. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a Mexican "cucina" or kitchen. Display of typical pottery made for tourist trade. The fireplace is really a stove, and I think the white things are tortillas (I had to download the picture and enlarge it to see them!)

Thanks so much, Lee. I wondered what on earth those white things could be.
